Nancy has
repeatedly explained how our days are meant to go:
- Wake up
at 2:00pm
- Coffee
and beach until 7:00pm
- Lunch at
7:00pm
- Sleep
from 8:00pm to about 1:00am
- Dinner
at 1:00am
- Head out
at 2:00am
- Home
around 8:00am
- Sleep
8:00am - 2:00pm
We aren't
exactly achieving the above but we're trying. I'm excelling in the sleeping in
part. However when everyone is hitting the afternoon/evening nap part I seem to
be springing to life and not sleeping. I would make a terrible Greek.
Nonetheless,
today we woke up late (check), we did beach until 4:30pm (check) we had lunch
at 5:00pm (check), everyone but me slept from 8:00pm to about 1:00am (nearly
finished my book!), we headed out at 2:00am, we got home at 8:00am. We are
meeting the Greek criteria!
The
'disco' we went to last night was interesting. People don't dance they stand
around staring at each other. It’s slightly odd.
I
attempted to get a round of drinks but soon found out the bartenders hate
locals. I won't get started but to summarise the bar tender told me 'not too
long' then served all these other people then said 'not too long' then served
more other people and this continued for 40mins. He clearly thought this was a
very fun game, for him. Then the experience was replicated at the creperie.
Needless to say, Nancy and her cousins are responsible for all ordering from
this point forth.
The whole
2 sleep shifts per day/out from 2am to is not something I could make my
lifestyle but it was a novelty to give it a go.
Early
night tonight! Leaving the next day.
P.S you
can't flush toilet paper here however I'm not as traumatised as when I first
came to Greece. I've adjusted.
